Dear Circuit City, I win.

As many of my close friends know, I have been boycotting Circuit City for the past year.

Well, it seems my boycott has showed Circuit Citys who the boss is because they are filing for bankruptcy.

Just imagine what you could have been, Circuit City, if you had not denied me the ability to return a few DVDs, still in the shrink-wrap, for store credit. STORE CREDIT!

Dear Best Buy,

Congratulations!

I too have been boycotting Circuit City. Bought something there and ASKED if the battery was included (it wasn’t indicated on the box). The clerk assured me it was. To add insult to injury when I called to ask them about it, there was not one shred of ‘Gee, I’m sorry’. Just come in and buy a battery!

    May I add my

    Congratulations Circuit City

It is so easy to let your customer service slip, but this day in age word travels fast and it can burn you bad.

When consumers have choice we can vote with our dollars and I am thankful for that everyday.

We consumers have become much more selective about where we choose to spend our money. Some stores will surge past large incorporated ones on good customer service alone.

On a recent visit to a Subway, the employee was not bad, he just had poor people skills.

Today, on my way home, I initially thought about stopping at Subway, then I remembered the “I could care less” attitude of the worker. I decided to go home and prepare my own sandwich in stead of dealing with some-one’s attitude.

A genuine SMILE and a heart felt THANK YOU goes a long way.

It is a total bummer that Circuit City was not able to recover…
